"We are very glad we chose Alden Lincoln Park when our 88yo mother
needed rehabilitation after hospitalization. She had become so weak from
lying in a hospital bed she could barely stand up. After 2 1/2 months at
Alden, she is now back home feeling great, walking all around, cooking
simple meals and following her favorite team - the Cubs.
Alden LP building may appear plain on the outside, but inside are some
amazing staff. The physical, speech and occupational therapy our mom
received was phenomenal. Staff was great about keeping us informed of her
progress, including us in her goal-planning and individualizing her plan.
The nursing supervisor, Aly, would make an excellent rehab nurse at RIC, but
instead chooses to use her expertise to help older patients and others with
lower functioning abilities regain back their quality of life.
We were also pleased with the doctors assigned to our mother’s care,
including specialists who took the time to call us and our mother’s primary
doctor with observations and recommendations, which turned out to make a big
difference in her rehabilitation.
One last thing; the administration and staff at Alden LP make good use of
the surrounding neighborhood, including several out-of-facility field trips
for those who can travel, and outside neighborhood parties for everyone who
can be physically transported (and the staff do work hard at this) outside.
We would appreciate and recommend Alden Lincoln Park Nursing and Rehab to
anyone to whom a caring and knowledgeable nursing and rehab staff, and
available and responsive administrative staff, is more important than a
fancy new building. Our now 89yo mother is doing better now than before she
went into the hospital. Thank you Alden Lincoln Park."

"I am writing not only for myself but also on behalf of my husband Dr. Barton Mann, who is a resident at Alden Lincoln Park, and my sister Michelle, regarding the Thanksgiving luncheon that we recently attended and thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to let you know my husband said, 'The luncheon was fantastic!' We all agreed that everything was as perfect as could be. The staff did a spectacular job, from the table arrangements and flowers on the tables to the dinnerware and very delicious dinner menu, including rolls, salad, absolutely delicious chowder, marvelous entree presentation and a choice of wonderful desserts. Dr. Mann especially enjoyed the three of us being able to have our own special table, eating good food and being served as though we were sitting together in a lovely restaurant. Once again, every staff member involved in the undertaking of this Holiday celebration deserves special praise."
