"When I first came to Alden Lincoln Park I was in a coma - I couldn’t
walk or talk. But with the help of Carrie, the Administrator, and her
wonderful physical therapy and nursing staff, I am now able to move my arms
and legs and am able to walk again too! I can take care of myself like I
used to and no longer need assistance eating, walking or bathing. I owe
Alden Lincoln Park a great deal — they gave me my independence back. And a
husband too! I met him while we were both rehabilitating at Alden Lincoln

"You get the greatest service in the world at Alden Lincoln Park. I feel such love and joy from the staff – everyone who works here is truly wonderful. After four years here, I decided to give back to the facility by becoming President of the Resident Council."
"The staff is so nice and caring and everyone treats me like family. This is the next best thing to home. Alden Lincoln Park is all I can ask for in a long-term care facility."
"I love the staff here and the Physical Therapy Department really knows what they are doing—although they challenge me, the results are worth it. The residents are so friendly and I’ve actually made quite a few friends during my rehab. I am excited to go home but will miss all of the wonderful people here and the camaraderie."
Former Short-Term Rehabilitation Resident and Lincoln Park Resident
"I would like to thank you all personally for everything you have done for me in my recovery and for the friendly and hospitable way I was treated by everyone. I remember when I first came here, I was scared. But everyone made me feel very welcome and I enjoyed being here. I made the right decision to stay at Alden Lincoln Park. Im going to be sad to leave Alden because of all the friends Ive made while I was here — many of the staff are just like family. I think other people should know about Alden because this is an excellent place to recover after surgery. I am so impressed with Alden Lincoln Park that I plan to stay involved and will be signing up to become a volunteer. Thank you for all you have done for me!"

"We are very glad we chose Alden Lincoln Park when our 88yo mother
needed rehabilitation after hospitalization. She had become so weak from
lying in a hospital bed she could barely stand up. After 2 1/2 months at
Alden, she is now back home feeling great, walking all around, cooking
simple meals and following her favorite team - the Cubs.
Alden LP building may appear plain on the outside, but inside are some
amazing staff. The physical, speech and occupational therapy our mom
received was phenomenal. Staff was great about keeping us informed of her
progress, including us in her goal-planning and individualizing her plan.
The nursing supervisor, Aly, would make an excellent rehab nurse at RIC, but
instead chooses to use her expertise to help older patients and others with
lower functioning abilities regain back their quality of life.
We were also pleased with the doctors assigned to our mother’s care,
including specialists who took the time to call us and our mother’s primary
doctor with observations and recommendations, which turned out to make a big
difference in her rehabilitation.
One last thing; the administration and staff at Alden LP make good use of
the surrounding neighborhood, including several out-of-facility field trips
for those who can travel, and outside neighborhood parties for everyone who
can be physically transported (and the staff do work hard at this) outside.
We would appreciate and recommend Alden Lincoln Park Nursing and Rehab to
anyone to whom a caring and knowledgeable nursing and rehab staff, and
available and responsive administrative staff, is more important than a
fancy new building. Our now 89yo mother is doing better now than before she
went into the hospital. Thank you Alden Lincoln Park."

"When she fell ill, Mom could not go home so we decided to bring her here. Alden Lincoln Park soon became Mom’s home. Thanks to the staff and everyone here, we were never sad when we visited. Actually, everyone provided a wonderful environment for her and us to spend time together before she passed away."

"My husband loves it here. He has so much to do and everyone goes out of their way to make sure he has what he needs and is happy. I can tell you that when my time comes and I can no longer be at home, I will be more than happy to join him here at Alden Lincoln Park."

"Bringing Mom to Alden Lincoln Park has been a good decision. I am assured of a certain level of care and professional service from the staff and management. There such a nice feeling of home at Alden Lincoln Park. I truly enjoy coming here for daily visits with my mother."
Willi Buhay, Son of a Current Resident
"I am writing not only for myself but also on behalf of my husband Dr. Barton Mann, who is a resident at Alden Lincoln Park, and my sister Michelle, regarding the Thanksgiving luncheon that we recently attended and thoroughly enjoyed. I wanted to let you know my husband said, 'The luncheon was fantastic!' We all agreed that everything was as perfect as could be. The staff did a spectacular job, from the table arrangements and flowers on the tables to the dinnerware and very delicious dinner menu, including rolls, salad, absolutely delicious chowder, marvelous entree presentation and a choice of wonderful desserts. Dr. Mann especially enjoyed the three of us being able to have our own special table, eating good food and being served as though we were sitting together in a lovely restaurant. Once again, every staff member involved in the undertaking of this Holiday celebration deserves special praise."

"I have been living in Lincoln Park for the past 14 years and am lucky that my health has been good. If I ever should need medical assistance, there is only one place I would consider going and that is Alden Lincoln Park."
